Every Movement You Own
Setup: Staggered lines, arm's-width apart, one direction. No pairs yet — tonight's warm-up is a lap of honour.
How it works: Run the cycle's movements in the order they were learned, one length each, coach narrating the week each came from: shrimps and bridges from week 1, the frame-and-shrimp from week 5, back-scoots from week 7, hip lifts from week 8, triangle lifts from week 9, shield slides from week 11. Finish with one length of technical stand-ups done slow and proud. Twelve weeks of movement, six minutes of proof.
What to say
- “Name the weeks as they move — let them feel the map they have built.”
- “Quality over pace — this is a recital, not a race.”
- “Anyone blank on a movement gets a quiet word now, not a surprise later.”
Easier
Half-lengths with the coach demonstrating each movement first.
Harder
Continuous flow — all movements chained down the mat without stopping between lengths.
