Mat Movements + Week 6 Review

Seated back-scoots — the posture of back control, rehearsed down the matSit tall, heels drag you along — hands never touch

Setup: Staggered lines, arm's-width apart, one direction. Pairs form for the review half.

How it works: Lengths, twice each: shrimps, bridges, technical stand-up, then a new one — seated back-scoots: sit tall, heels dig and drag you down the mat, hands off the floor. Name it: that posture is tonight's whole lesson. Review week 6 in pairs, one minute each way: side control, partner pushes, americana to the first stretch, release, pop to knee on belly, ride three seconds, reset.

What to say

  • Back-scoots: chest proud, heels pull — that is the spine you will keep all night.
  • Review americanas end at the first stretch — releases stay instant.
  • Knee on belly reviews: posture tall, hands quiet.

Easier

Half-lengths; review the americana from a placed arm with no push.

Harder

Back-scoot lengths racing a partner; review at quarter resistance.
