Eight weeks ago they were accountants and nurses with a mad idea — tonight is the last hard session before fight night, and it is about sharpening, not suffering.

Fight-Night Rehearsal Warm-Up

Setup: Wraps on. Frame the night in one sentence before anything moves: the work is done, the fitness is in the bank, and tonight we sharpen the knife and practise the evening itself.

How it works: Run the exact warm-up they will use on fight night, so Saturday holds no new decisions: two minutes of rope or bounce, two minutes of mobility — neck, shoulders, hips, trunk — then two shadow rounds at building intensity: round one their A-game combinations at half pace, round two at honest pace with movement. Tell them to memorise this sequence; it is their backstage routine now, and having a routine is worth a round of fitness to a nervous fighter.

Rounds: 2 min rope + 2 min mobility + 2 × 2 min shadow

What to say

  • This exact warm-up happens Saturday — same order, same lengths; own it now.
  • Shadow your actual game plan, not a highlight reel — rehearse the fight you intend to box.
  • Finish the warm-up breathing well, not blowing — peak week means arriving fresh.

Easier

Everything at half pace; one shadow round.

Harder

None this week — the warm-up stays a warm-up; fight week does not chase fatigue.
